Bobby Jean Thomas      

Funeral Services for Bobby Jean Thomas, retired medical technician, will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Jerusalem #2 Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Norselles Holmes, III is the officiating minister.  Interment will follow the services in the H V Adams Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017 in the chapel of Loche’s Mortuary,

On June 9, 1951 McKeenly Kelly and Esther Williams were blessed with a girl child.  To this child was given the name Bobby Jean. On a crisp March day, Bobby stepped from this world into immortality. She was preceded in death by her father: McKeenly Kelly, her grandmother, Agnes Williams and her grandfather, Archie Williams.

Bobby graduated from Morehouse High School in 1970.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, James Thomas, Jr and Melvin Thomas of Milwaukee, WI, her mother, Esther Williams, one sister, Debra White; four brothers, Gilbert (Debra) Williams of Texarkana, TX, Clifton (Mamie) Jackson of San Antonio, TX, Ray (Glinda) Jackson of Dallas, TX and Michael Jackson of Bastrop, LA; one granddaughter, Jawanna Hood; two grandsons, Ashanti Thomas and James Thomas III. Bobby and Audrey Faye were reared together as sisters by their grandmother, Agnes Williams; a special cousin Juanita Wainwright of Milwaukee, WI, a special friend, Catherine Clacks, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
