Funeral services for Sister Marquitta  ReneeTaylor, 28, of Bastrop will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the New Jerusalem #2 Missionary Baptist Church at 12:00 noon.  She departed this life on October 16th at St. Francis North Medical Center in Monroe, LA.  Rev. Norselles Holmes, Jr. is the officiant.  Wake services will be held from 6-7 on Friday, October 23rd in the Loche’s Mortuary chapel. The interment will follow the services in H. V. Adams Cemetery.

​Sister Marquitta Taylor was born on October 25, 1986 to Cammie Taylor and the late Onzie Leopold in Bastrop, LA.  She confessed her belief in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. C. H. Holmes. She later united with the New Jerusalem #2 Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Norselles Holmes III.  She remained a faithful member until God called her home. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Mr. Joe Taylor, her grandmother, Clauzella Taylor, four aunts, Caldoria Taylor, Cathy Haynes, Regina Haynes, and Marilyn Haynes; one uncle, John Haynes, and her father, Onzie Leopold.

​She attended Southside Elementary School and was a 2005 graduate of Bastrop High School.  She loved going to church, shopping, and playing on her computer.  She had a few other pasttimes also that included watching Lifetime, Hannah Montana, and Love and Hip Hop on television. 

​She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving mother, Cammie Taylor of Bastrop, LA, one sister, Amanda Taylor (Kevin) Jimmerson of Bastrop, LA, one brother: Karman Taylor of Monroe, LA five aunts, three uncles, two nephews, two nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.
