The Memorial Service  celebrating the life of Matthew Clacks will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the New Jerusalem #1 Missionary Baptist Church in Bastrop, LA.  Rev. Tavarius  Montgomery will officiate the services. Rev. Walter Conners is the pastor. Matthew  departed this life early Sunday morning at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA.  His mother, Mrs. Delphine Clacks preceded him in death.

A  lifelong resident of Morehouse Parish, he attended elementary and high school in Morehouse Parish.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his father, Rufus Clacks Sr. Bastrop; five brothers: Fred (Betty), Rufus Jr., Marsell, Craytonia (Veronica), and Keith Clacks all of Bastrop; three sisters: Clara Clacks of Terre Haute, IN, Beatrice & Elizabeth Clacks of Bastrop.
 

Also preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents: the late Tommie Clacks Jr. & Idia Clacks; and maternal grandparents: the late Arthur Watson Sr. & Beatrice Watson.​
