"Everything's Copasetic"

Copasetic means completely satisfactory or in good order. If it’s copasetic, it’s fine, OK, cool, and groovy."Everything's Copasetic," which describes the life of Sunnie Lewis Cordell Mansfield, lovingly known as "CeMo."

Born September 14, 1966 to Freddie and Mary Johnson Mansfield, Sunnie's life expectancy was only five years. BUT, God's grace allowed him to travel this earth for fifty years.  In that fifty years he touched the lives of thousands.  CeMo graduated from Bastrop High School  in 1985.  After graduating from high school, Sunnie and his sister, Sandra, set their sites on the beautiful city of lights, Las Vegas, Nevada.  In Las Vegas, Sunnie was employed by the Nevada Test Site.  He always had a love for cooking, so what did he do?  He attended culinary school to perfect his art.   He LOVED meeting and making new friends.  He loved DANCING (and he could dance!), singing, meeting and making new friends. He never ever met a stranger.  He loved his family and he absolutely adored BIG cars.  He loved cooking and KNEW he was the best cook in Morehouse Parish.

He loved his family and delighted in spending time with his mom, Mary.  The would spend hours talking about EVERYTHING:  cooking, family, friends, LIFE.  Even though he was the second son, he was always willing and able to share brotherly advice with his siblings, Nick, Pat, Sandra, and Joe..  Sunnie was blessed to have one beautiful daughter, Sunmeisha Corne' LaShay Mansfield.  But the APPLES of his eyes were his four grandchildren.  If you happen to have a conversation with Sunnie, he would ALWAYS bring up his grandchildren.  In fact, it's been said, "that's all he talked about.  Sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends delighted in his company.  They knew that when Sunnie was around, there would never be a dull moment. He loved everything big, from his hats to his cars, to life.

As we bid farewell to "CeMo," LISTEN!  Can't hear him softly say, with that winning smile, "It's Copasetic, man. Everything's Copasetic!"
