Funeral Services for   Mrs.  Mercedes Montgomery Whitmore   of Bastrop  will be held at Second Baptist Church  on the White Street on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:00 pm. with the interment following the services at the Evergreen Cemetery.  Rev. Louis James will be officiating the services.  Wake services will be held from 5-6 p.m. on Friday, December16, 2016 in the chapel of Loche’s Mortuary.  Loche’s Mortuary, Inc. is in charge of the services.

Mercedes Montgomery Whitmore

Mercedes Montgomery Whitmore​ was born June 14, 1990 in San Diego, California. On December 7, 2016 stepped from mortality into immortality and joined her loved ones and friends.

​She was the daughter of Fred  Clacks and Betty Jean Montgomery Clacks.  She attended Bastrop High School.  She could always be recognized for her beautiful smile and her attention to beauty.  She loved attending church and found great joy in visiting with the sick and shut in. Her love for her church, the New Evergreen Baptist Church knew no bounds.

​She was married to David Whitmore, Jr., and they were the parents of one son, Elijah, the love of her life.

​She leaves to cherish her memory: her parents: Fred and Betty Clacks, her son, Elijah Whitmore, two brothers: Fred Montgomery and Tavares Montgomery of Bastrop, four sisters: Delphine Brown, Tiffany Gipson, Sierra Montgomery, and April Kennedy all of Bastrop, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
