"Remembering Namon"

Namon Oscar Williams was born on April 13, 1932 in Mer Rouge, Louisiana to the late Ed and Willie Bea Williams. He was one of twelve children born to this union. On a warm June evening, the 20th to be exact Namon stepped from mortality to immortality in his sleep. God allowed Namon to fall asleep in his house and he was reawakened in God['s house.

At an early age Namon confessed Christ at Eudora Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Watson. He later met and married Gracie Mae Harps. They were lifelong members of Eudora until Gracie's passing six and a half years ago.  Namon was a faithful and dedicated member of the Usher Board at Eudora.  He served under the leaderships of Rev. H. T. James, Rev. Willie Hardy, Rev. Henry S. Singleton, and the current pastor, Rev. Cedric Winston.

Namon was preceded in death by his parents, nine siblings, and his wife of fifty-eight years, Gracie Mae Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Namon Louis Wiiliams of Ridgeland, MS, one daughter Thelma Pointer (George) Manteca, CA, two sisters, Pearline Barnes and Alice Archie of  Bastrop, LA; four grandsons:Antonio LaDell Ardoin, Fairfield, CA, Kevin Deon Ardoin, Sacramento, CA, Justin Chase Williams and Christian Alexander Williams, Canton, OH, three great grandchildren: Antonio LaDell Ardoin, Jr, Jonah Ardoin, and Jada Grace Ardoin.

We Loved Him, But God Loved Him Best!
