Funeral Services for Mrs. Alice Faye Smith, local resident and wife of the late Willie Bell Smith, will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Sterlington. Father Walter Barral will serve as the officiating minister. The interment will follow the services in Richwood Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held on Friday, Jan 5, 2024 in the chapel of Loche's Mortuary, Inc. To send flowers, plants, words of comfort, or light a candle; kindly follow directions to your left.

In Sterlington, Louisiana, on a Wednesday, the 18th day of the year 1928, a baby girl was born to Clara Davis. Alice Faye was the name given to this girl child. On December 28, 2023, this girl child went home to be with God.
Alice Faye graduated from Sterlington High School. She was employed by the Morehouse General Hospital for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, volunteering, and working with her church ministry.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Shirley A. Brown, James Barral, Andrew Culpepper, and Kennard Barral.
