"Jesus is the Answer"

Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Proverbs 31:30

It was on the 6th day of April in 1965,  in Monroe, Louisiana that Rosetta Green and James Perry became the parents of a baby girl.  They named her Andrea Lynetta Green  Wait a minute, what was happening?  God, in his infinite wisdom, was about to bless them again.  Another baby?  But, we have only one name. Well, we'll just name them both Andrea.  Now, that's going to be confusing. Rosetta decided to give the girls a part of her name, So, she named one Lynetta and one,  Renetta.  Two beautiful, precocious little girls who would grown up to be happy, God fearing ladies, who never met a stranger, so different, but so alike in many ways.

Renetta and Lynetta grew up in a family of love and laughter.  With thirteen brothers and sisters, they always had someone to play with at home. As each grew to adulthood, and had families of their own, they were never too far from each other. She loved her brothers and sisters.   She attended  Delta High School.

Renetta was married for thirty-one years to the love of her life, Billy Earl Pegross.  They were blessed with two children: Trai and LaSausha.

Renetta had a very creative side. She sold home decor for many years, loved creating hair styles, and loved singing in her church choir. However, her hobby was decorating. Her favorite holidays were Halloween and Christmas. She would spend days preparing her home inside and out for these special days. Folks would often pass by just to see her creativity; its beauty. Not only would her home be creatively decorated, but she would often don clothing that represented the holidays.

Renetta was  employed by the Morehouse Parish School System for fourteen years as a Food Service Technician. She loved working with her sister Lynetta and other members of the Dietary department of MPSB.

On Christmas Day, in her home, so festively decorated for Christmas, with family nearby, Andrea Renetta Green Pegross went home to be with her God.  Amen! Amen!
