Funeral services for C. Arthur Reed, a retired farmer, will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022.  The services will be held in the chapel of Loche's Mortuary, Inc. at eleven a.m. with Rev. Johnny Green serving as officiant.  Visitation for Mr. Reed will be held from four p.m. to six p.m. in the chapel of Loche's Mortuary, Inc.  The interment will follow the services in H. V. A Man Called  "Joe" 

"You cause the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food from the earth." Proverbs:104:14

           On Wednesday, May 3, 1939, Selia Reed-Gayles and Woody Reed became the parents of a boy child.  This child was given the name C. Arthur Reed.  On Wednesday, August 25, 2022, C. Arthur Reed left his earthly home for Glory.

          C. Arthur Reed was born in Wilmot, Arkansas.  Fondly called "Joe"  by family and friends, he attended school in Wilmot and eventually Mer Rouge, LA.  He was a farmer by profession and he loved gardening and fishing.

          He leaves to cherish his memory. his children: Melvin Reed, Margaret Reed, Terrance White, Janice Alexander, Tony Brown, and Sandra Cannon; one brother: Roosevelt Gayles of East Lansing, Michigan, and two sisters: Jo Ann Higgins and Jewel Gayles, both of Bastrop, LA, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
