                  “The Steps of Good Man”

, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delighteth in his way.” Psalm 37:23

So describes a boy child born to Eslean and Walter Brooks on a Sunday in April, the 9th to be exact in 1950 in the small hamlet of Galion, Louisiana.  They named him Charles.  On a Sunday in March, the third 3rd to be exact in 2024, Charles Brooks left his earthly home to join loved ones who had gone on before.

Charles attended the Johnson School and Union High School.  His employment as a machine operator at Georgia Pacific Paper Company afforded him the ability to take care of his wife, Peggy, and his children Keith, Tina, Lisa, Charlene, and Maria.  A community-minded citizen, he was always willing to lend a hand to neighbors or even strangers.  He enjoyed gardening and landscaping for the church, family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Peggy, five grateful children: Keith Charles Brooks, Monroe, LA; Tina Williams, Lisa Brooks, and Maria Brooks, Mer Rouge, LA and Charlene Brooks, Bastrop, LA; three sisters: Cora Walker, Monroe, LA, Rosie Brooks and Ella Garrett, Mer Rouge, LA, and grandchildren he adored.

A good man does not allow himself to be led by circumstances, other people, or even his own feelings. He allows God to be in control of his life.

 A good man helps others.

HE IS A GIVER!
