Funeral services  for well-known citizen, Charlie Nelson, will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at The Greater Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Mozell Smith, Jr. will serve as the officiant with the interment to follow in Trousdale Cemetery.  "A Gathering of Family and Friends" will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 in the Loche's Mortuary Chapel.  To send flowers, plants, words of condolence, or light a candle, kindly follow directions to the right.

On Saturday, October 17, 1959, in Mer Rouge, LA, Virginia and Jefpton Nelson were blessed with a baby boy.  He was given the name Charlie.  Charlie was a man of few words, but he was a beloved father, grandfather, husband, uncle, cousin, and friend.  Charlie Nelson was a true Saints fan.

On October 12, 2025,  just five days before his birthday, Charlie Nelson went home to be with God.  He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
