Ethel Marie Moore Dantzler

Funeral services for Ethel Marie Moore Dantzler will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Loche's Mortuary.  Rev. Dr. Alfred Mack will serve as the officiant. The interment will follow the services in Mound Cemetery in Jones, LA. To send flowers, light a candle, or share words of condolence, kindly follow directions to the left.

Rufus, Jr. and Daisy Brown Moore were blessed on Wednesday, September 24, 1958.  It was on this day  they became the parents of a precious baby girl. They named her Ethel Marie.  Ethel was a proud member of the 1976 Class of Delta High School.  She attended Northeast Louisiana State University in 1980.  She was married to Lonnell Dantzler and they were the parents of two children: Cedric and Brooke Dantzler. She served as a bookkeeper.

Ethel enjoyed working in her yard and she also loved to sew and cook.  In her leisure time she enjoyed watching old TV shows.  But, her "special time," was the time spent with her children. A meticulous housekeeper, she liked things in order.  When she spoke, EVERYBODY listened and followed her orders.   Another favorite hobby was talking on the CB.

Ethel was a very caring person.  Spending time with the elderly gave her joy.  There was so much wisdom to be gained from our senior citizens.  She listened to them as they told her of years go by.

On April 4, 2025, God, in his infinite wisdom, decided it was time for his servant to come.  He quietly called her name.  SHE ANSWERED!

“She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.” – Proverbs 31:26
