Bro. George Robinson
"But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope." (KJV)I Thessalonians 4:13
Graveside services for Bro. George Robinson retired Wal-Mart employee and well-known resident will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Henry V. Adams Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to his drive-by viewing at Williams Drive Church of Christ from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Bro. George Randall Robinson will be the officiant of the services.
George was an electronics' repairman extraordinaire. During many Christmas holidays, parents would patiently wait in line just to have him put their child's Christmas bike or toy together. An electronic repairman he enjoyed the intricacies of televisions, radios; just about ANYTHING electrical.
George loved teaching Christian education to all. He could often be found at Wal Mart even after retirement, teaching the Bible to employees and customers alike.
He is survived by a loving and devoted wife, Alice Newsome Robinson, their sons, Michael Robinson and George Randall Robinson (Dallas TX), a granddaughter, Faith Autumn Robinson, (West Monroe, LA), his nieces and sisters-in-law, who were like daughters; Jeanette Newsome, Carole Newsome (deceased), Carolyn Harris, and Alicia D Newsome, his brothers, James and John Willie (Preacher) of Bastrop, LA, his sisters, Irene of Evansville, IN, and Emma (Larry) of Monroe, LA, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, church family, and friends.
