Mrs. Gertie Johnwell
Funeral services for Mrs. Gertie Johnwell will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at the Ivory Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Joe Douglas serving as officiant. She will Lie - In -State from 10: 00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for friends and members of the community. A Private Service for the family will follow the Visitation Period. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, friends are asked to "please wear masks" and practice the required social distancing. Interment will follow the Private Service in H. V. Adams Cemetery.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her beautiful smile: her husband, Clifton Johnwell of Bastrop, one son: Tony Johnwell of Monroe, LA, two daughters: Angela Johnwell Moore of Bastrop, LA and Twyla Johnwell Coutee of Hampton, VA; two brothers, Milton Arvie of Houston, TX and Melvin Arvie of Mamou, LA; four sisters: Joyce Jack of Mamou, LA, Mary Lee of Beaumont, TX, Ethel Taylor of Baytown, TX, and Reola Griffin of Houston, Tx; her beloved grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
