Karisee D. Jackson
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb, a reward. Psalm 127:3
On Wednesday, July 24, 2002, Morgan Jackson and Mark Davis, Sr. were blessed with a very special gift; a baby boy. He was given the name Karisee. But, he was better known by his nickname, “Jaxk.”
Karisee loved easily. Loving him was easy. His personality, his caring spirit, his concern about family was always on his mind. He made friends easily. Simply put, “To know him was to love him.” Being family oriented, he enjoyed hanging out with his mom’s family and his dad’s family. He left a lasting impression on all he met.
Karisee was a proud member of Bastrop High School’s class of 2020. He loved playing baseball. In fact, it was his favorite hobby. He was also a member of the Mighty Rams football team. Karisee was also an amazing dancer, often entertaining family and friends, and winning awards at talent shows. He also enjoyed playing video games, and would stay up all night playing videos with his family.
In 2021, Karisee decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia, a vibrant and diverse city, a city filled with people, world class attractions, culture, and cuisine. Here he was able to create opportunities and memories.
On October 19, Karisee became ill and had to be transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, For seven months, he bravely fought NMDA encephalitis. But, God, in his infinite wisdom, decided that Karisee’s recovery was not to be. On May 15, 2024, God called his servant, Karisee D. Jackson home to rest.
“Karisee will never be forgotten. He continues to live in our hearts and memories, reminding us of the love and joy he brought into our lives."
