"Serving the Lord"
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward.
Colossians 3:23-24
It was on a Wednesday, as the story goes, that Joe and Laura Armstrong were blessed with their second born. Her name Lee Anna Armstrong.
When she was just a young child, Lee Anna accepted our Lord as her Savior and joined the St. #1 Baptist Church. She loved her church and its band of members. She worked in various capacities in her church for she knew that “serving the Lord would pay off after while.” She later moved her membership to the Williams Drive Church of Christ.
From her first union with Isaac Seay, Lee Anna was blessed with seven children. She later married Dewey Smith, and they reared the children. Lee Anna loved the Lord. She was involved with many church-related activities and received so much joy because she knew that “serving the Lord would pay off after while.”
A hardworking wife and mother, she opened her home her heart, and her kitchen to her family and anyone who needed or wanted a hot meal. She was employed by the Morehouse Parish School System for many years, so cooking was her specialty.
On October 24, 2025, Lee Anna Armstrong Seay Smith quietly left the world as we know it and went home to be with her God. Preceding her in death were her parents, eight siblings and four sons.
Missing her guidance, her smile and her wise counsel are one son, two daughters, one brother, her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends
