Funeral for Linda Faye Bruce, beloved mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend, will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.  Brother David Hall will officiate the services at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 6870 Airport Road.  The interment will follow the service in Mound Cemetery in Jones, LA.  Wake Service will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 on Friday evening in Loche’s Mortuary Chapel.  To send flowers, light a candle, or Word of Comfort, kindly follow directions to the right.

A Very Special Lady

December 16, 1961, was a relatively quiet day in Jones, Louisiana. A Saturday that most folks in this small hamlet of Jones used as a rest day after a long week of work.  But for James and Annie Bruce, this day proved to be a momentous one.  On this day, God blessed them with a beautiful girl child.  She was given the name Linda Faye Bruce, and she would lovingly be called “Faye.”  On July 29, 2025, Linda Faye Bruce quietly left this world, as we know it.

Linda was a graduate of Delta High School.  She served as a paraprofessional for the Morehouse Parish School District for over thirty years. 

She was blessed with one son, Torrey Lawrence. 

Linda enjoyed cooking, shopping, and helping others.

Her kind heart, her beautiful smile, and her caring spirit will be missed by all those who knew and loved her

Though sorrow may linger, and tears gently fall,
We trust in His promise to answer our call.
He heals the brokenhearted, His comfort we find,
In the hope of reunion, leaving grief behind.
