“The Man, The Legend, The Myth, The King”
It was a balmy Sunday in the small hamlet of Collinston, Louisiana. June 27, 1948, to be exact. Georgia Leslie Robinson and Percy Robinson, Sr. became the parents of a baby boy. They named him Percy, Jr.
Percy attended Union High School. Growing up in a rural area, Percy’s love of the land led him to farming as his profession.
He and his wife, Willie Mae, were married over fifty-three years and reared their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in a loving home. His life revolved around his family. He enjoyed playing dominoes, football, baseball, basketball, and hunting. But, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Percy was a jovial man and loved to tell jokes to his family and friends.
On May 29, 2024, Percy Robinson, Jr., “The Man, The Legend, The Myth, The King,” went home to be with his God.
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" Isaiah 41:10
