“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delighteth in his way.”
Psalm 37:23
It was the twelfth day of January, a Thursday, in 1956. Christmas was over and most folks settled back into their normal routines. But for Ella May Johnson and Jessie Shaw, Christmas gift giving was not quite over. On this day, she received a precious gift; a boy child, who she named Peter James Johnson.
Peter was a proud member of Bastrop High School's Class of 1974. He became a butcher by profession.
Even though he became disabled, he did not let his disability prevent him from having a positive outlook on life and enjoying his life to the fullest. He loved to fish and considered himself an outstanding chef. He would often share mouthwatering recipes on his Facebook page.
On June 8, 2024, God, in his infinite wisdom, quietly called his servant home.
He answered.
Rest in Love,
Peter James Johnson!
Amen! Amen!
