The Quiet One
**********
Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you. Psalm 33:20-22.
In the small community of Lightwood, in extreme northeast Louisiana, Louis and Ruthie Moore received a double blessing. On Wednesday, June 13, 1962, the young couple was blessed with not one but two precious baby boys. They were given the names Ronald Perry Moore and Donald Terry Moore. On September 16, 2022, Ronald transitioned from this world to his heavenly home. Preceding him in death were his father, Louis Moore, his sister Rosemary Robinson, and brothers Dennis Moore and Marvin Moore.
Ronald was known as "The Quiet Twin." He and Donald, along with his other siblings enjoyed a wonderful childhood in a home filled with love.
When he graduated from Delta High School, Ronald felt compelled to serve his country. He joined the United States Army and became a medic. When he completed his tour of duty, he returned home and found gainful employment at Morehouse General Hospital.
Ronald leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Ruthie Moore, his brothers: Donald Moore (Janice), (his twin), Randy Moore (Toni), and Gemar Hays; his sisters: Debra Richardson, Beverly Carroll (Delton), Gaundhi Hays, Gatrina Brown (Richard), and his beloved nieces and nephews, and many cousins and friends.
