"The Horseman"
"Bay Boy" was the nickname given to baby boy born on January 6, 1949. It was a Thursday when Louie and Robbie Wroten were blessed with this boy child. He would grow up, attend Morehouse High School and decide to choose driving "big" trucks as a profession.
Even though truck driving was his chosen profession, Samuel's passion was horses, horses, and more horses. He would eventually own and manage his own horses. He took delight in traveling, showing his horses, and competing in rodeos and horse shows whenever possible.
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Leslie Lake Retirement Center in Arcadia, Louisiana around 6:52 in the evening, Samuel Wroten, Sr. joined his parents and other loved ones who had gone on to be with God. Missing his broad smile and kind ways are his children: Samuel, Jr., Donna Fay, Donnie Ray, Tara, and Maurice, his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
