"He Never Met a Stranger”
“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household, “ Ephesians 2:19
Whether it was his broad smile that he used when meeting others, friends and strangers alike; or. whether it was his quick wit that would often get his younger brothers and sisters in trouble, Shaun Tyrone Washington loved life. He loved people. "He never met a stranger.”
The fifth child of thirteen born to Alberta and Jessie Washington, Shaun delighted in his position in the family. He was young enough to receive special attention, but old enough to control the siblings that were younger. Oftentimes, he used his position to convince the younger ones to do something that led to trouble; but his hands were clean.
He was born on Friday, May 24, 1973 in the small hamlet of Bastrop. Louisiana. It was a home filled with love and a great deal of activity.
Shaun graduated from Bastrop High School. He eventually gained a position at Foster Farms in Farmerville; a position he loved.
Shaun had a big heart. He loved people, and enjoyed making them laugh. Shaun was a connoisseur of food. Simple everyday food or exotic ones; he loved eating.
Spending time with his friends and family brought him joy. His two children: Shanquarius Washington and Shaun Washington were the lights of his life. His love for them knew no bounds.
On Monday, May 13, 2024, God, in his infinite wisdom, summoned Shaun Tyrone Washington, Sr.
