"A God-fearing Man"
"Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments" Psalm 112:1
The date was July 10, 1981, a Wednesday according to the Gregorian calendar. But, for Jacqueline Key and Lavall Williams July 10, 1981 was the day God blessed them with a baby boy. He was given the name Vincent which means "conquering" or "winning," signifying a sense of triumph or overcoming challenges; essentially someone who is victorious. His love for God and family, and his winning smile made him "victorious" as his name implied.
Vincent loved his family, he loved people. His winning smile could soften the heart of even the most stern, especially teachers and the older generation. He attended Bastrop High School and was a standout in football and basketball. Vincent was a proud member of the Bastrop High School Class of 1999.
His charismatic smile led him into the field of Finance where he became a Collector.
Vincent was a God-fearing man. He loved the Lord and depended on God to supply his needs. There was never any doubt in his mind that if he asked God for anything, he would be right there ready to rescue him.
Vincent was a dedicated father to his children: Langan, Lawson, Vincent, Jr., and Maya.
Although life on this earth has ended for Vincent Key, Sr., that loving smile and caring heart will live on through his siblings, family members, and all those who were blessed because Vincent O. Key passed their way.
Vincent was a God
