William Charles "Bruce" Nelson

A "Celebration of Life" honoring William Charles "Bruce" Nelson will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Drive Church of Christ. Bro. Fredrick Smith will serve as the officiant of the services.  A "Gathering of Family and Friends (Visitation) will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Loche's Mortuary, Inc.  The interment will follow the services in H. V. Adams Cemetery.  To light candles, send words of condolence, send flowers or plants, kindly follow directions to your left.

Born on Wednesday, January 4, 1961 to Dorothy and Freddie Jones was a baby boy. He was given the name William Charles Nelson.  He would be fondly called "Bruce."   On Saturday, September 2, 2023 ,William Charles Nelson passed away at his residence.  Preceding him in death were his mother, Dorothy Jones, his grandmother, Thelma Jones, Samantha Jones, his grandfathers, Ike Nelson and Joseph Jones, and one brother, Curtis Jones.

Bruce was a member of Williams Drive Church of  Christ where he remained  until his demise.

Bruce was a roofer by profession following in the footsteps of his father.  He eventually started his own roofing business.  His favorite hobby was fishing.  He loved spending quality time with family and friends in the open air catching fishing,  and definitely cooking them.
