Funeral services for Ms. Carole Deloris Newsome will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Williams Drive Church of Christ in Bastrop, LA. Brother George Robinson will be the officiating minister.  Interment will follow in H. V. Adams Cemetery.  Wake services will be held on Friday evening from 5-7 in the chapel of Loche's Mortuary.

Carole Deloris Newsome ​was born in Bastrop, Louisiana to Arlester and Inez Newsome, Sr. Carole was educated in the Morehouse Parish School System and graduated from Bastrop High School.  She later went on to become the Head of the Bone Density Department at Morehouse General Hospital and served in that capacity for many years.  Full of life, she sought many ways to express herself through poetry. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother.

Carole​ was a member of the Williams Drive Church of Christ and was spiritually grounded. She loved her church family.

​She leaves to cherish her memories, her son: Troyan Sirtrone Newsome, two granddaughters, Carielle Lenore and Troyan LaQueen Newsome; six brothers: Arlester Newsome, Jr. (Trish), Robert Newsome (Gwen), Bennie L. Newsome, Henry D. Newsome, Allen K. Newsome, and Terry Newsome (Cynthia); three sisters: Leathy N. Robinson, Alice Robinson (George), and Jeanette Newsome, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlester and Inez Newsome, Sr., and one brother, Calvin Newsome.
